While a dominant phone manufacturer is the Apple of everyone’s eye, Android phones have gained serious traction over the last year. About 300,000 babies are born every day and roughly the same number of iPhones are activated every day as well. In contrast 700,000 Android based phones are activated every single day and the trend is strongly higher. Google announced that 400,000 Android phones were being activated every day in May 2011 and then a month later the company indicated that 550,000 phones were being activated on a daily basis.
